Dr. habil. Marija Dulovic Mahlow’s Inaugural Lecture at the Institute of Neurogenetics

We are pleased to announce that on November 7, 2023, Dr. habil. Marija Dulovic Mahlow delivered her Inaugural Lecture entiteld “Taok1-associated neurodevelopmental disorder: from the lab to the clinic and back.”

As a former key member of the Institute's Research Section “Genetics of Rare Diseases” under Prof. Katja Lohmann from 2015 to 2020, Dr. Dulovic Mahlow has been at the forefront of genetic research of movement disorders, contributing substantial advancements in our understanding of dystonia and Parkinson's disease.

Her lecture highlighted the bidirectional flow of information between basic research and patient care, Dr. Dulovic Mahlow provided insights into the genetic mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental disorders and their implications for treatment.
