20. Oktober 2016 – Prof. Dr. Christine Klein was unanimously elected as vice president of the German Neurological Society (Deutschen Gesellschaft für Neurologie (DGN)) in 2017. She will be the vice president of DGN in 2017 and 2018 and the president in the two following years (2019 and 2020). According to the acting president Prof. Dr. med. Ralf Gold, Dr. Klein will be the first female president since the founding of the Society in 1907.
