Guest Lecture: Professor Carolyn Sue on Neuroprotective Treatments for Parkinson’s Disease

The Institute of Neurogenetics is pleased to announce an upcoming guest lecture by Professor Carolyn Sue, a renowned clinician-scientist and international leader in Parkinson’s disease and mitochondrial research. Her lecture, titled “Developing Neuroprotective Treatments for Parkinson’s Disease”, will focus on recent advances in understanding the role of mitochondria in neurodegeneration and the development of targeted therapies.

Professor Sue is the inaugural Kinghorn Chair at Neuroscience Research Australia and University of New South Wales, and Director of Neuroscience at Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney. She has played a pivotal role in advancing mitochondrial medicine and neurogenetics, and in 2009, became the first female neurologist to be promoted to Professor in Australia.
