We are pleased to extend a warm welcome to Xiaosheng Wu, who joins the Institute of Neurogenetics as a visiting PhD student. Xiaosheng holds a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Medicine and a Master's degree in Clinical Neurology. He is currently pursuing his PhD at Zhejiang University, where his research centers on the genetics of movement disorders, with a focus on next-generation and long-read sequencing technologies.
Xiaosheng first encountered the work of Prof. Dr. Christine Klein during lectures in Kuala Lumpur and Hangzhou, where he was inspired by her expertise in the field. Drawn by the Institute’s mission to uncover the genetic causes and contributors to movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease and dystonia, he joined the team to further develop his knowledge under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Christine Klein and Prof. Dr. Ana Westenberger.
We look forward to his contributions and collaboration during his time with us.
