Mirja Thomsen Successfully Defends Her PhD Thesis

On September 25th, Mirja Thomsen successfully defended her PhD thesis, earning the highest distinction of summa cum laude. Supervised by Prof. Katja Lohmann, her dissertation “Elucidating Genetic Causes of Dystonia by Large-Scale Next-Generation Sequencing” provides new insights into the genetic basis of dystonia through the analysis of more than 2,500 patient samples.
